Indonesia Aged Blue Batak Lington Sumatra, Single-Origin Gourmet Coffee (Arabica)
Around 1699, Dutch colonialists brought coffee plants to Indonesia where coffee production flourished to today’s popularity near Lake Toba, the largest volcanic lake in the world. Southwest of Lake Toba, a volcanic region known for its incredibly fertile soils. Numerous microclimates created by small valleys where the much sought-after Blue Batak coffee is grown is an age-old traditional tribal cultivation practice giving the Sumatra coffee beans its blue color and roasted characteristic flavors. Continuing the practices, the coffee is stored in wooden crates for at least 2 years in caverns to get the medium body with a mild acidity, complex notes of Nutty, Sweet, Toasted Sesame, Tobacco and a smooth finish profile.
